A special evening with some of our smaller critters, reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates close up and personal with no glass or wire in the way and professional quality lighting to bring you the best opportunity possible to photograph these fascinating creatures.
Your evening begins at 7.00PM at Liberty’s Centre where we will create some natural looking table top sets for you to photograph some of the smaller residents of the Centre indoors under professional lighting equipment. As with all our Photo Days we will always have an experienced photographer on hand to help you with camera settings and any other advice to help you get the most from your evening with us as well as a handler to help pose the animals whilst ensuring their health and well being.
Spaces are strictly limited to ensure that everyone has a chance to get some great looking photographs of the animals.
The evening will end at 9.00PM.
Recommended Equipment
A camera that is capable of being set to manual exposure as well as having a standard flash fitting. (Please note that some of the Sony Cameras have a non standard flash fitting which will require an adapter to fit our standard flash triggers.) You will also need to know how to set the ISO, Aperture and Shutter Speed on your camera. For lenses we recommend a macro lens as ideal, or a lens with macro function, as well as a zoom lens of around 70 – 200 for the larger creatures. Also bring plenty of memory and batteries!
What you will need to bring
The evening takes place indoors so no special clothing or footwear is required. No food is provided so you might want to bring a snack or any other refreshments you require.
Cost
Currently the cost is £30 per person which comprises of a £10 non-refundable deposit to be paid in advance with the balance of £20 payable on arrival on the day. To book your day please select the date that you would like to go and use the Contact Form to email us your booking. We will then email an Invoice to you that can be paid using most bank cards. Upon payment of your deposit your booking is confirmed.
Private Bookings:
We can take private bookings for these days from clubs and private individuals, which is a great way of enjoying the day in the privacy of your group. The basic rate is £240 for up to 8 photographers.
Photographers under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
